roast beef or turckeywe are making a turkey and/or beef roast with the ham and all the sides
if you can afford it prime rib roast is the best!Standing rib roast. If you go to Paula Deen's page on the Food Network site, she's got an easy fool proof recipe. We do turkey again as well as ham.
but I have also done Fried Chicken, Roast Beef, Pork chops, pork loin coated with a honey mustard sauce.
we only have a family dinner once every 6 years on Christmas day. It is always the Thursday before due to schedules. So on Christmas, I get to make what my family really wants. If your talking about for a main dish I would suggest instead of ham, Turkey or Chicken whichever you like more, they are still fine to eat at Christmas just as much as it was at Thanksgiving. Ham isn't traditional Christmas dinner, that would be for St Stephens Day (Boxing day) supper?
For Christmas we'd have traditional roast turkey with potatoes, parsnips and swede all roasted in goose fat with boiled carrots, peas and sprouts/broccoli maybe. I make my own stuffing with sausage meat and chestnut puree and we have sausages wrapped in bacon. Oh and load of gravy made with the turkey giblets mmmmmmm can't wait.Turkey, sausages wrapped in baconMy dad makes a beef roast. I look forward to it every year. Its amazing. We have the regular sides, baked potato, brocoli and hot buns of course.Well if you like mexican food then tamales are pretty good. Heres a joke. What do mexicans unwrap for christmas?
