I'm learning to play white horse right now &I pretty much have the whole song memorized but I'm learning the left chords right now and I have no idea what AM is.

-C♥ I think you may mean Am, the abbreviation for Aminor, which may be the scale your tune should be played in( Like Bethoven's Fur Elise). Am is a minor scale based on A, made of the pitches A,B,C,D,E,F,and G.Its relative key is C major, parallel key is A major, the scale has no sharps or flats, and the harmonic scale raises G to G#. hope this helps.means the chord of A minor.
