VBulletin keeps crashing my dedicated server

  • For some reason a gig of ram is not enough for the vbulletin that I run on it's own server. The memory gets maxed out and apache is crashing on me sometimes two or three times a day. I know I can always buy more ram for the server, but is there any sort of caching features in vb or is there anything that I can tweak to help with this?

  • 1gb of memory is not a lot, however have you configured optimized php or mysql since setting the server up? The default mysql settings will kill any server, for help with optimzation please post in the server forum.
