  • It sounds like he is getting good care. There is nothing you can do. So do what you can. Take care of yourself, that is the best thing you can do if you are needed. Sometimes people go through rough times but learn things that most people don't learn & they are wiser, stronger people. So think of the good that can come from this. Keep busy doing productive things. They might put him meds & he might be OK, after that so you just have to see but many people go through this & all kinds of things so you are not alone.

  • Once he gets in to see the medic they will have to make a determination on him and what they will do. More than likely he will be med boarded out.

  • yes, these are warning signs..... to a bigger problem if he is not helped... it looks as though they have it under control, but him crying to you seems like its alittle bit more then they probably are aware of... so yes follow the advice and notify his command as long as you have his name, rank, and station...

  • Ella,
Contact his command-- his unit senior enlisted or commander or his chaplain-- immediately. Do not wait until tomorrow, don't let anyone put you off because it's the weekend-- his command will have a 'duty officer'. This is not something to play around with. If you know the name of his command, look it up on 'google' and get a phone number-- if you aren't sure, get hold of an Air Force recruiter in your town for help.

It is hard to apologize for 'ratting someone out'. It's far, far harder to go to his funeral. I speak from way too much experience. Please, Ella, get on this right away-- it's too important not to.

  • Its probably just stress. And it could take (On Average) of 5 months for them to find him a permanent diagnosis disposition. And they are prone to putting their own dogmatic labels on people..

It's all up to his orderly room to think what they want to think about him. That's just their un-educated opinion, where they dont have a masters and PhD degree. So it doenst matter. It matters what tangeable clues he's left behind. and clues hes left behind to un-deniably prove this, (about him being wanting to take his life). There are alot of people in the world that have wanted to do this.

You can refer him to depressionroom, com, if you want. It is pretty good.

  • he's gonna talk to the counselor a few times, so they can figure out where his mentality is... if they deem that he's suicidal they can do anything from admit him to the hospital to discharge him and send him home

  • They could put him in the Hosp. or even give him a medical discharge.
