Charlton on FSW top club list

    Not in the top 25, but in the next 10 clubs. I think that Addicks came in 33rd. It is nice to see that people are starting to take the club seriously, and that this is not an abberation. I still think that most people are waiting for the club to go into a dive and then they can say, see told ya so. What most people don't remember is that Richard Rufas has not played since last April and Shaun Bartlett and Kevin Lisbie have both missed extended periods of time this season.

    Surprised that Liverpool is ahead of us, though. How is this list compiled I wonder?

    And Newcastle isn't even on the list. I expect the Magpies will climb up this list after their result against Fulham.

    And Fulham will probably drop out of the top 35.

    Though I am an Addicks fans, I would also like to see Fulham do well. I like the little guy, the underdog. And it is nice to see a couple of Americans getting the opportunity at Fulham.

    I think if Curbs had a little money to spend right now, he might have pursued Bocanegra for help in central defense.


  • Well, they've signed an 18 year old who is the fourth highest scorer in the Dutch league as well. It looks like Coleman is building his squad astutely to me. I used to resent Fayed's involvement, as he has been an unsavoury feature of British life for 20 years. But now he has given up on his attempts to get a British passport, and has retreated to live in Switzerland, but is still paying for good players to move into our league. He become merely a harmless fool being parted with his money, and I don't mind him in this new guise.

    Well, I'm not fond of Fulham at all. They worked their way into the Premiership in a fashion similar to that of Chelsea's big move this season. They bought their way into the Premiership. Al-Fayed poured millions into Fulham and buying expensive players. It almost got them in trouble last season as those superstars couldn't play together. They should have been relegated (in fact they were the only relegation selection I got wrong from my three teams...I got Sunderland and West Brom right).

    They will be gone soon. The two Americans won't save them. Saha was carrying the whole club and now he's gone. I suspect they will now drop to the bottom half of the table.
